Dear Confessional,
Well there is good news and then there is bad news. The good news is I'm still as sexy as ever, LOL okay that isn't the good news but is true none-the-less! But the real good news is that I survived the first Tribal Council, woo!
The bad news is that my friend Brett took the fall. I mean he was the one guy I could totally rely on and now I have to rely on myself... hey, I have to show some backbone so that's what I will do. It just sucks because I could have actually saved Brett if me and John went through with voting for Dave because then the vote would have been majority for Dave to go. So yeah I am pissed off a bit at myself for that... what's done is done though.
Monica, Shannon, and Dave alike all knew that majority would vote Brett and that he 'got what he deserved'. Dave was an interesting one because of this:
There was an attempt to get Dave out although that obviously failed as I said before. But the interesting thing is how I approached into an "Until Merge" Alliance with John. Check it out, this is our exchange of PMs:

Me: Yeah i did, I'm guessing you did too?
John: Yup. I did but I don't believe Brett idk why I think his just trying to make something up to survive what do you think?
Me: Yeah agreed, that's what he is doing. But you know I have been thinking about something. There's 20 of us right, and the merges in Survivor are typically when we hit 9-10 people or so. By that time we have to be in a position where we are confident that we can win against the others.
Brett I kind of know outside the game. We're okay friends and stuff, and personally I would like to keep him. And it's confirmed from him -and I know he wouldn't lie to me- that Dave and Yasmin have their own agenda and may vote someone else out. Not saying they are working together but still.
Please keep this to yourself because at this point of the game its hard to put trust in anyone 100% but I'm taking a risk and deciding to tell you John. I don't think the two are working together, but they may try to do things that will stir the game up. Yasmin is a strong competitor and Dave seems to be nervous about the vote.
What if we did something to rock the game too? What if we made a "Until-Merge Pact" in which we look after each other until the merge then see how we feel from there? I keep my word, I promise you that much. Keeping Brett may stir things or make people uneasy which can be a beneficial thing cause they may point fingers at one another.
Get back to me on this John, you seem to be a cool dude and it'd be awesome if you accepted this.
John: Hey, Erik thanks for trusting me and Don't worry whatever it's said between us will stay like that. Anyway so what do you suggest should we vote out Dave?
Me: Ugh... well Brett doesn't want me risking my position since he knows Dave is voting me out and others probably are...
You know, let's just vote Brett out. He told me it's okay but let's not expose our positions on the board. After though you and I should form the first alliance.
John: Okay! I'll cast my vote for Brett since I have school tomorrow I don't wanna risk self-voting haha. But like you said we need to keep a close eye on Yasmin/Dave I don't want them to pull a fast one on us.
Me: I got school too, haha. But yeah, we should definitely stick together. I have to head off to shower now but it was nice chatting with you and hope things go according to plan for our sake.
John: okay cool keep in touch I'll let you know if anything changes or I hear some rambling haha.

So yep, me and John are sticking together. I plan on finding one more person for us to join in an alliance, and it won't be either Dave or Yasmin. I like the two, especially the latter, but eventually I have to take out strong players and ya know... Yasmin is strong, and what better time to do it but before the merge?

So yeah... weeding may not = good if I have an alliance. That's an up to date thing about my progress in the game. So far I'm in an okay position but I may have to relax a bit so I don't seem too strong as well... me being seen as strong can translate badly come merge time.

Hahaha great minds think alike. Yeah, I know. I'll be honest with you. I think alot of weeding needs to be done in our tribe. But, oh well. Hopefully we can pick it up and make up some ground here soon. I guess we'll see?
